One of the tidbits to come out of today's Baddour/Bunting press conference is that UNC will be hiring Chuck Neinas to consult on the hiring process. I have a tendency to agree with Gregg Doyel on this - if an athletic director's job to is to manage the department and hire and fire coachers, why the hell are they outsourcing half of the damn job?
Neinas is everywhere in college football, having notably assisted in the hiring of Mack Brown at Texas, and recommended the hiring of his own son at San Diego State. In theory, his job is to help "keep the process under the radar." Um, good luck with that.
