I have to catch up on the countdown posts, but look forward to following. Is Kasey Kasem available? For me it was the Worthy / Jordan / Perkins 1982 team that stands out..at the time being age 9 I just can't recall the teams before that. If not them...2006 season.

And not to ramble, having spent 8-9 days traversing the Ol' North State...North Carolina easily has it over Dallas. Q-shack and Stameys barbecue, Bojangle's, legitimate sweet tea....nothing could be finer.

Reading some of the quotes on the countdown games, it's interesting to note how many of those memory-recalls are "wonder-years" games. My son is currently 12, and his recall over the last couple of years is amazing. My own wonder years were the Miller/Grubar/Scott, and Karl/Previs/Wuycik/Mac teams--those memories are still vivid. I guess it's that period right before girls enter the picture...all I know is I really enjoy sharing the excitement & anticipation with him, and hearing him talk smack with opposing buds.
