Charlotte should obviously be considered a home game for UNC by the NCAA, unless they are playing Davidson or UNCC. In fact, Carolina, for years, used to play multiple home games in Charlotte and Greensboro, but do not anymore due to the Smith Center gobbling up all the home dates.

Back in the old days, Greensboro and Charlotte had bigger home courts by several thousand seats so UNC used to play those arenas often.

Couldn't have said it better myself, THF. There's no way Valpo would play us in their tiny gym when they can make enough money to pay for a new gym by being able to sell out the whole United Center.

As for the Mich. St. game, it's not as if we haven't played some of our ACC/Big Eleven games in Greensboro. And while the game may be a neutral court in Detroit, Ford Field is 90 minutes from Mich. State's campus, and 44 minutes from Ann Arbor. And believe me, there are still a lot of Michigan fans holding grudges over 1993 who go out of their way to root against us, even if we're playing a rival like the Spartans.
