Love this team. Tyler is my favorite Tar Heel. Great buzzer beaters. Maybe we can beat Dook two or three times next year.

Great season by a great team...........

Of course, you take the championship and enjoy the next season without any expectations.

I had forgotten about the *jog* TH took down the court after hitting the shot against VT in the ACCT. Good stuff.

They say you should always double down on an 11, and I always do, unless maybe the dealer is showing a 10 or a face card. Same goes in the title vs. rebuilding year argument: title every time. If the 'Heels had won it all last April and weren't that good this season, I could always wear my NCAAT champs t-shirt when I felt low. The 'Heels should be the heavy favorite to win this season and as such should be amusing to watch, but the Kansas game will sting for the foreseeable future.

Besides, in the era of 1-and-done, or 2-and-done college players, rebuilding will become more the norm after a great and/or championship season.

In the moment... yes, I would take the title. However, given the choice between a guaranteed title and a guaranteed rebuilding year (not all are as sweet as 2006) OR 2 seasons in a row with less than 5 losses, both with the potential for a title (but not at all guaranteed), I think I would take the later. Provided, of course, that UNC is less than 10 years removed from a title.

I would take a title and a 38-2 season even if it meant everyone left afterwards. Winning it all is tough.

I'll take a championship anytime we can get one. But you're right, C.Micheal, if they had won we'd be looking at a potential rebuilding year.

I can't wait to see these guys in action again. It was a great season, but I think we lost a little bit of momentum when Lawson came back. Not that I think we shouldn't have used him. Injuries are probably my biggest fear for next year, but we are deep.

So let's get started already!!!!

We would also be looking at an upcoming season with with no Hansbrough, Lawson, Ellington, or Green... I'm actually not sure if that would be a reasonable trade.

Had they won two more games they would have been 38-2 and national champions. I would have ranked them #1 in this countdown ahead of 1982.

THF, those are some of the most amazing plays of just about any season. Maybe my fondness is overexemplified because of the acuteness of these plays (people remember what's most current), but they seemed pretty good. Had this team won two more games, it would have ranked up there with 82 in my book. I will try not to remember this team by the Kansas game, as I am convinced at any other moment in time they would have won this. To play a competetive season and only lose 3 games to me is remarkable, plus the addition of some great plays in basketball and a few buzzer beaters, you have a historic memorable season.
