Remember when you were a kid and they said that football was played in all weather conditions? So much for that....

We were at the game until the weather delay. When I saw the coaches and assistants packing up everything I knew they must have spotted some really ugly stuff coming, and it did. I am told it was a pretty small crowd that returned. We didn't make it back, and I was surprised to find out they restarted when they did.

I was right behind the bench, and it appeared to me the team was a bit nervous. I think there was a lot of pressure on those kids, and maybe they were pressing a little too much.

Also, McNeese was faster than we were, at least it looked that way.

Maybe the reason Tate and Nicks had good games was experience, and speed to match McNeese.

It was a fantastic atmosphere, and I was ready for some rain, but didn't think we would be run out of the stadium by lightning. I wish now we would have gone back.

I say better have it happen like it did than have a blowout game. The Tarheels will work much harder and stronger getting ready for Rutgers having almost blown this one. I'm from Burlington and couldn't be prouder of our local player Brandon Tate. I hope that the NFL looks at him like Hester from Miami.

I would say that people shouldn't get their hopes up. Clemson got thrashed by Alabama and VPI lost to East Carolina, which seems to indicate that the ACC bites in football once again.

I'm convinced that they were a faster team than us. Significantly. But somehow their smallish team dominated line play on both sides of the ball. We are incredibly lucky to be 1-0 considering our OL was easily pushed around and our DL got little penetration, giving way too much time to their QB who was able to pick us apart. We've got to go quicker at the end opposite EJ Wilson. Massenburg is too slow for our needs as a rush end.
