Fullback Anthony Elzy, who was rather effective catching passes out of the backfield at times, will miss six weeks with a fractured scapula. That’s the shoulder blade for those of you who forgot basic anatomy or slept through it in school. I am thinking that is a fairly painful injury to have, especially since lying on you back is bound to hurt.
In an effort to balance this piece of rotten news with some sunshine, ACC Now is reporting that TJ Yates is “progressing nicely” and hopefully will return to the field on schedule.

Man, have we taken a toll for our success. Can’t continue to win without prolific personele. Our whole team has to become a Cam Sexton in order for us to get a couple more W’s.
Damn, we’re running out of offensive weapons. I recall a year in the early 90′s when UNC loast a boatload of good players to injury before the season even started. I do think we’ll make a bowl and get a chance to help the overall program with opportunities to practice in December. We’re still laying the foundation for bigger expectations in future years.
