  • Can’t wait. Excited to see the new kids on the block as well. I tell ya, Ed Davis looks like a carbon copy of Hansbrough when he is in the paint. He goes after the ball like he is going to be killed if he doesn’t get it. Lots of energy, over-enthusiastic style play, and ability to score with bodies hanging all over him. I can see Zeller hitting 10-15 foot jumpers, banking on the angles like Tim Duncan did for Wake. I bet he will mature as a soph/junior and will surprise a lot of people. Larry Drew, although I don’t know much about him, seems to have a good peremiter shot, and is one that you can’t leave open. As long as Lawson is on board, however, he will be 2nd fiddle. But you add that to a team that went to the final 4 in tough traffic to a team who kept all of it’s players while other schools had a lot of defaults, seems like a winning combo to me.

23 days? Wasn’t it 23 days last week? Is time standing still?

    Well I can’t wait either.

My thoughts on the point position are Lawson is as good as they get. He’s worked hard this summer from what I’ve read, I’m sure he spent some time on his outside shot as well as the early practices focusing on defense, so hopefully his minor flaws have been and are being addressed. He is the key to the season, barring serious injuries to any more starters.

    23 days? Are you sure?

    Oh my….

  • It was 23 as of last night when I posted it. 22 now. It was 29 last week.

First let me say I love the kids reactions in the background. You figure the ball hasn’t even hit the net yet and the kids are in despair.

Second, THF, thank you for the site this is my first off season and it was the easiest so far. Talking Heels basketball from May to October is, well the best.

Thirdly, I think this is going to be a special year.
    A. Hansbrough’s last year. How great is it he stayed. He’s my new favorite player. Hands(brough) down…sorry

B THE CHAMPIONSHIP, I think just about every year we can win it or be right there. This year there is something in the air that just smells different. If we fall short this year it will sting for Decades to come.

Lets go Tar Heels Lets go. Clap Clap. Lets go Tar Heels Lets go.
