Thanks just something I noticed. Overall the team is really deep and talented we just need to work out the kinks. Boosting the freshmen's confidence is a good thing and letting them know that they are valuable without being the superstars.

I watched it on Tar Heel Blue and frankly it was hilarious. Woody wasn't commentating so it was Adam Lucas, Eric Montross and Jones Angel. Towards the end they started to make jokes. Without Woody they went crazy. Anyway Drew had poor ball control. I think he was trying to be too much like Ty and attempted fast breaks. He had some pretty spectacular steals but lost some of them on the way. That is definitley something these freshman need to realize; they don't need to be Tyler or Ty or Wayne. They just need to play.

THF, I thought most of the turnovers were errant passes, indicating that the team is a little out of synch with one another, especially the freshmen. It also could be the Hansbrough/Ginyard absence.
Zeller, who looked a lot like Hansbrough in appearance from my vantage point -- about 20 rows up -- needs work on defense and toughness, something I saw and heard from people around me. I'm sure that'll come in time, especially practicing with Hansbrough every day.
Davis and Drew II were impressive in the way they didn't seem in awe of playing in front of nearly 20,000 fans their first game in the Deandome. Both were basically in control.
Can't wait for Hansbrough and Ginyard to be back.

One other thing: Coach K must really be envious after his rant last week about Cameron not being full for an exhibition game. I had to wait in line with thousands of Heel fans before the doors were opened at 4:30. Granted, many were there for the football game, but it was still impressive the amount of interest in the B'ball team. Many of the fans stayed around to support the walkons-plus-Davis. I really liked that.

THF, you never cease to make me laugh! Overall this was a mediocre game for us. The first half was completley dismal. But the second was pretty good. The freshmen looked great and I was impressed with our speed. We really need to work on turnovers and rebounding. Hopefully Tyler will be back before long so we have a more powerful inside presence and rebounder. Go Heels!

I knew we were playing Vandy in a scrimmage but it was closed doors. Sounds like a better deal than playing two games versus teams that people often mistake for girls schools.

Most of the steals came because we pressed which I guess we are working on for conference and tournament play?

Don't remember fully, but I thought most of our turnovers came in the first half so it could have been opening game "jitters". Maybe.

I noticed that the three point line didn't affect Bobby's, Wayne's, or Danny's shot which is great. Those three are our best shooters so if it hurt them, we would have been in trouble.
