I understand trying to get the salary increase, but I hope that is the smaller point of the negotiations. I am all for the Kenan renovations, since that helps everyone associated with Carolina football and also helps with recruiting. I'd rather see the bulk of any money going towards that than a salary increase, though I do think that if we are playing around Jan. 1st he deserves a raise. I just don't want this to be a yearly "sweat it out, give more money" routine when high profile jobs come up.

In my humble and uninformed opinion, Coach Davis stays. The expectation level from the Carolina fans is about 3 out of 10, where 10 is the expectation level at Tennessee. The competition as has been pointed out many times is horrific in the SEC. Finally, he should be able to recruit at Carolina as well as any school in the nation given his recent success. I don't blame him for using his success as leverage for contract and stadium improvements. I think most of these coaches at heart are out there to win a national championship, and I think and hope Coach Davis realizes that the fastest way to get there is to stay at Carolina.

Something tells me Jones decided to get out of the newspaper business while the getting was good. Buster Sports is an interesting move. Must be a new site and it is a little slow to load.

Thanks THF - I had been wondering for months (or however long it's been since Andrew left the Wilmington Star) where in the world he went. Buster Sports - which is a new one on me.
