Car Bowl Tickets Selling Like Hot Breadlike Breakfast Food

UNC has already gone through the 14,000 ticket allotment it received from the good folks at the Car Bowl.  None too shocking consdering UNC sold out the same bowl in 2004 and the Heels were decidedly not as good as this version.  Since this is also the first bowl appearance since that one, the excitement level is undoubtedly very high.  Word is West Virginia is selling their allotment fairly quickly as well and since they were part of the only other sellout this bowl has had(2002 vs UVa) it stands to reason Bank of America Stadium will be loaded on December 27th.

West Virginia should have rejoined their former Southern Conference compatriots in the ACC, instead of Boston College, but unfortunately, the ACC was too highbrow to take them, even though they were from a contiguous state and chose to leapfrog over Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Connecticut, all the way to Massachusetts to select B.C., apparently in the attempt to one-up the Pac Ten and have Miami and BC be approximately just as far apart as Arizona and Washington out in the Pac Ten.

Hopefully State Fan Nation can get in touch with that statistic. Having to read all the blog entries on the Maryland game and the rainy BC game was just too painful.

^Leroy. That site is full of irrational folks that HATE even the concept of “Carolina”….. They even hate themselves at times. Even posters who are rational on “neutral” sites become hateful on SFN.

As for the tickets, their couldn’t be a more friendly set up for UNC fans. A Saturday within driving distance for the majority of the football fan base and students. I’d really be pissed if we didn’t sell out.

  • I have never been able to grasp all of the love for everything Duke from those guys, and hatred for everything UNC that they behold. It’s not that I don’t undestand the UNC hatred, but I don’t see why they harness & garnish all of this fondness for Duke. They are honest about how bad they are over there. I’ll give ‘em that.
