If they had only done, Won't Get Fooled Again, and nothing else, they would deserve the award.

Here's a riddle for you, "who is the only person able to stop Willie Parker?"

agreed......Natrone?

you happen to catch the Kennedy Center Honors w/Daltry & Townshend tonight? Pretty cool payback tribute by the NYFF/PD to The Who at the end.

add Don McCauley & Justice to LT's name. I know how you blur the lines between college & pro, so ftr, Mac had the better numbers for his UNC career over LT.

Carolina has had many NFL players of note, probably more than one would think given our on-field results. Here is a list of some:

Chris Hanburger, Don McCauley, Dre Bly, Julius Peppers, Willie Parker, Natrone Means, L.T., Kelvin Bryant, Jeff Hayes, Ronald Curry, William Fuller, and Charlie Justice.

What is missing? No quarterbacks of note, especially when compared with Roman Gabriel of NC State, Sonny Jurgensen of Duke, or even Norm Snead of Wake Forest.

Also, there is probably only one player who qualifies as an all time great, L.T., although Peppers might one day join him. Parker, Bly and Hanburger probably could be characterized as having Sam Perkins-type NFL careers, while most of the others were decent but not particularly distinguished NFL'ers.

I think next year's games will for the most part be "coin tosses" just like this year.

Certainly, we can't replace Hakeem but we do have a good crop of highly recruited recievers. My concern maybe the offensive line more so than the playmakers. I'm interested in what Jamal Womble may bring to the table along with a healthy Anthony Elzy.

We need help in the kicking game, but maybe a year will give Barth some leg strength?

Defensively, I'm excited although I agree some schemes need to be changed and more pressure to the QB seems to be the preferred change. We need a lock down corner on the opposite side of Burney.

Of note, told you guys state sucks without Russell Wilson. He is big mask on big mess.

I don't think the taste of this season would be quite so bad were there not the lingering hint of "mercenary seasoning". Roy has no such issues to deal with. That alone gives it a totally different feel.

FTR--UNC has produced the single greatest linebacker in NFL history, and a couple of the all-time great college running backs. I'm a soccer guy, but UNC does indeed have a football tradition, as well as a futbol tradition.
