Hakeem Nicks has the tools to be a good NFL receiver and there is no need to risk injury for what is probably very little in the way of upward movement in the draft. Besides that, Nicks broke most of the receiving records at UNC in only three years and his 217 yards, three touchdown performance in the Car Bowl is a nice note to leave on.

Hate to see him go, but his stock if very high right now. Good luck Hakeem. Would hate to see him stuck in San Diego with the A$$hole QB.
For the Heels, I’m looking to see if Little steps up along with Jones and possibly Mason/Boyd.
Those guys better step up or we’re going to be in trouble. And until we can field a consistent running game, Yates and Sexton are going to have to have to step up also.
With our personnel losses this year, I’m not sure that next year will be an upward movement for the Heels. Hopefully we can still be competitive and get to a bowl while cultivating our youth for 2010.

WR is one of the skills positions where true or redshirt freshmen can make a difference right away. So, let’s see if one of the newbies steps up next fall. My concern is more about the defense. UNC doesn’t need outstanding, record-setting offices — they just need to be efficient and dependable. What we do need is a much more aggressive defense build around speed that attacks and doesn’t just sit back in a zone.
