Great to see Woody Durham get good air time as well. The story about Heymann either kicking / punching McGuire in a certain spot, was classic I thought. Bad blood goes back a long, long way.

Don’t know how many of you had a chance to watch the HBO documentary, “The Battle for Tobacco Road: dook vs. Carolina”, but I would definitely recommend it…pretty good job on the part of the directors and writers.

Nice background on the start of Dean Smith and his building the program, great portion about Charlie Scott and integrating the area.

Hilarious quote by Jordan about dook producing good college players, but Carolina being the program that has and produces NBA players…don’t remember the exact wording, but the way he said it and the smirk on his face…classic!

Made me dislike Seth Davis more than I previously did as well…

Last week’s SI has a quote from Roy about Coach K and the infamous Duke moving picks…interview with Dan Patrick. Asked who would win in hand-hand combat, Roy says he’d have to use guerilla tactics, since Mike went to Army.

Don’t forget to tune your sets to HBO tonight…9pm Eastern I think. Their sports documentaries are quite good (Brooklyn Dodgers, Ohio State – Michigan).

Dj_joek, I saw the ref helping up the Duke player last night too, and thought basically the same thing – when was the last time I saw that? Uh, never, I guess, but maybe it stuck out to me because of my anti-Duke bias. I’m going to watch for it now in other games. I’m not holding my breath, though.

How many caught the referee giving a hand up to one of the dookies in the second half?

Any guage on how often that refs do something like this? I wouldn’t think it should ever happen, but perhaps that’s just an outward sign of their fealty to k-alphabet.

THF, you can bet your a– that the feet are all the refs are watching when Tyler has the ball. Four years of crying by other coaches has made it a “point of emphasis” for ACC officials. Sometimes he really does walk but you can be sure he practically never gets away with it. Those clips made me lol. You should have to buy a bus ticket to travel that far!
