We watched it again last night. Sometimes I still can’t believe it really happened! My whole dvr is filled with basketball games. I hope nothing else come on that I want to record!
I completely agree that it seems as though it didn’t happen. I just remember the buzz that filled my body when I realized that they were gonna make it happen. Only now do I look back and say,”geesh, they made that whole run look easy.” One of the most dominant NCAAT runs in the history of college basketball, no question.
I love the streamers and confetti coming down around them in that photo. If I’m not mistaken, this “tradition” of streamers and confetti falling from the rafters began in 2005 in St Louis. I remember being a bit shocked from the initial explosion before realizing what was happening. Now, just four years later, it seems like old-hat. It’s a nice touch if you ask me.
THF,
A question for you that has been bugging me for over a month now. How come in the schmap section that has the scores, why is the score from the Gonzaga game omitted?
Thanks…
Just so everyone knows… There is an excellent article on ESPN.com in the college basketball section about Scott Cherry being named the new head coach at High Point University.
Anytime I hear about Cherry, I think of Billy Packer complaining about Dean playing him late in the second half of the championship game with Michigan.
“I don’t understand what Dean Smith is doing, putting this lineup in. He has to know he cannot get offense out of this lineup.”
National Championships for Dean Smith 2.
National Championships for Billy Packer 0.
Can’t believe it’s already been a month.

I may never go back to Detroit, but it will remain one of my favorite cities based on that night.

Are you out there? If at all possible, can I email you so that we can go over the details for the commemorative issues? Thanks!
Has it really been a whole month? Wow…

Enough said….
These championships grow up so fast…
I have no idea why the Schmap widget is omitting Gonzaga, I actually had not noticed it.
