I think Hansbrough does have something to prove. He needs to show that the same attitude and effort is what he will bring to Pro Basketball. He needs to be an honest decent person, who is not afraid to advocate for himself, as he has already been doing.

As he continues to do these things and works to adapt himself to the pro-style game, I think he will do well. He is not going to be the next Michael Jordan, but I am really confident that every reasonable UNC fan, and all balanced ACC fans, will be proud of him.

Listening to him in interviews, it seems he is not happy with being written down in value and taken less seriously. This sort of stuff is going to motivate the youngster, and you know what usually happens then!

Hansbrough has nothing left to prove. Like everyone here, I hope he succeeds in the NBA and sticks it to the lot of them, but it wouldn’t make any difference if he weren’t drafted at all, or became an NBA benchwarmer with an everage of 0.5 ppg.

He brought character, success and honor to our school as few if any have done before him. Nothing else matters.

Looking at CM’s post, it seems that my wish for one of them to be a Mav in the distant future isn’t gonna happen. Oh well. I’ll just go to a game and root against the Mavs when their teams come to town (like I don’t already…*whistles innocently*) when they make the roster. When is the draft, anyway? Anybody?

Claire, I agree, anything’s better than the Celtics…and the Lakers. Can’t stand either and I most definitely don’t like Bryant. Blech.
