Heels Get ECU For Super Regionals

So instead of the obnoxious cousin we get the obnoxious younger brother.

ECU beat SCAR 10-9 in Greenville Monday night to set up a best of three Super Regional series in Chapel Hill against #4 seeded UNC. The series begins on Saturday at noon with Game 2 on Sunday and if necessary Game 3 on Monday. ECU and UNC split the two games they played this season. The Heels won 3-1 in Chapel Hill and lost 4-0 in Greenville, only one of two occasions UNC was shutout this season.

Mike Fox has not named his starter but my money is on Adam Warren in Game 1 and Alex White in Game 2.  Patrick Johnson did start both game versus ECU during the regular season going 1-1.  Here is the schedule for the Chapel Hill Super Regional:

Saturday, June 6th: Game 1, Noon, ESPNU
Sunday, June 7th: Game 2, Noon, ESPN
Monday, June 8th: Game 3(if necessary), 1 PM(ESPN) or 7 PM(ESPN2)

This could cause some problems with our neighbors at the Pamlico river. (We have a house down there.) I have a sinking feeling our golf cart is going to get egged.

The tickets are cheap at $15 per game but you do have to buy all three if you want to go – at least that’s what I’ve seen on the Carolina site and from the Rams Club.

While I’m not a great Pirate fan I wouldn’t put them in the same league with USC/Carolina – tactical nuke ready sir, you have green light, over…also not sure if you saw the ad posted by their tv sponsor – congrats SC for posting a .500 or better in 3 sports – wow. That was listed on 620/850 blog. Again they have the worst overall record in D1 sports – they have won a few titles in women’s equestrian events…that’s it, GAME OVER.

    Go Heels!
