This is what IC has:

Looking Ahead to 2009-10:

Nov. 9 - CC: Alcorn State
Nov. 19-20 - Coaches vs. Cancer Classic (California, Ohio State and Syracuse)
Nov. 23 - Gardner-Webb
Dec. 1 - Michigan State (9pm, ESPN)
Dec. 19 - Texas (@ Texas Stadium)
Dec. 22 - Marshall
Jan. 4 - @ Charleston
TBA - @ Kentucky
TBA - Nevada
TBA - Rutgers

TBA - Duke
TBA - @ Duke
TBA - NC State
TBA - @ NC State
TBA - Ga Tech
TBA - @ Ga Tech
TBA - Va Tech
TBA - @ Va Tech
TBA - Wake Forest
TBA - @ Wake Forest
TBA - Florida St
TBA - Miami
TBA - Virginia
TBA - @ BC
TBA - @ Clemson
TBA - @ Maryland

That game at Charleston is going to be played in their actual home arena(cap: 5100). Like playing at UCSB last season, the Heels are apparently not afraid to play a mid-major in their gym.

As nice as it is to have one game (Alumni or otherwise) planned, it's always a challenge this time of year to piece together the schedule for the upcoming year. I know this isn't the best thread for this, but what's a guy to do?

According to a variety of web sources, usually the other teams' official announcements, the following non-conference games are slated. Does anyone know of other games?

11/6 Belmont Abbey (exhibition)
11/9	Alcorn St. (Coaches vs. Cancer)
? ? (Coaches vs. Cancer)
11/19	Coaches vs. Cancer @ NYC
11/20	Coaches vs. Cancer @ NYC
11/23	Gardner-Webb
12/1	Michigan State
12/19	@Texas
12/22	Marshall
1/4	@Charleston
?	@Kentucky

I was kind of tongue-in-cheek about Lennie playing but he may still be decent from five feet in!

william,

This game includes active players. There will be a game in February that is open to all former players.

Once again, the 1957 team goes without recognition. Why wasn't Rosenbluth invited?

According to HBO, it was the 1957 UNC Tar Heels who created ACC basketball. Before that, football was the dominant sport in the ACC.

The 1957 Heels still have the record for most victories in a season without a loss, and I believe the best record in the history of the ACC in league games, going 17-0 in the league and conference tournament, although I would have to check. I think the 1999 Duke team went 17-0 also, but they lost twice out of conference and did not win the national title. They also won the title against a quality opponent who had an excellent pivotman, every bit as good as any in the history of the game.

Frank's miracle is still unduplicated by any other ACC squad. NC State came closest, going 30-1 and 16-0 (counting the Big Four and ACC tourney) against ACC teams in 1974, but they got thrashed by UCLA in December and did not go undefeated. Although State would win 57 of 58 games in 1973 and 1974, they also did not equal McGuire's record for most consecutive wins, compiled during 1957 and 1958.

I don't know why more Carolina fans aren't aware of these achievements, but hopefully we can talk them up.

I voted for 2005 because I maintain that that should also be a WCHB team (additions in CAPS):

Starters-

Felton, McCants, Manuel, May, DWIGHT HOWARD

Bench-

Jawad, Marvin, JR SMITH, Scott, Noel, Sanders, Terry, Q

FTR, I left LeBron off for two reasons...

1. I am basing this on the presence of the "1-and-done rule."

2. Despite what he has said recently, I still think he would have gone to OSU.

The WCHB team, no doubt. Old age and treachery ALWAYS overcome youth and skill...
