Dear Demarcus,
You are a freshman so allow me to offer some free advice. No matter how close you are to the truth when talking about another team your best option is to not talk about the other team. In this case the worst thing you can do is underestimate a Roy Williams coached team because 600 wins and two national titles in five years means his teams have won quite a few games in less than ideal circumstances while looking unimpressive at the same time. So, next time, just nod and talk about how tough you think the next game will be instead of handing out red hot bulletin board material.

I’m so glad Facebook and Twitter weren’t around when I was in college…
Any organization can credit it’s overall tone and much of it’s individuals’ behavior to it’s leadership. Faults within any staff or team are magnified when ignored (or worse, reflected) in the administration and CEO, manager or coach.
Does anyone expect anything less from a KU frosh under Calipari?
On the other hand, I have to chuckle. I mean, come on kid. You guys look a lot more vulnerable than UNC!
Thank you Demarcus Cousins! While he may have a point, you’re better off not waking-up a rival. While I don’t want to lose to Michigan State or Texas I won’t be surprised and overly disappointed at this stage of the season. Kentucky, on the other hand, is the team I despise more than anyone else other than Dook although it’s not a close second. Going all the way back to the Rupp days Kentucky has always had a arrogance that I find particularly unappealing. Losing to them will bother me more than losing to anyone else except Dook (even State). So I hope we walk into Rupp and kick their butts just like 06!
Classic, he should be crowing, especially after winning a game against a team that hasn’t won a game this season and lost by 75 to Tennessee.
I hope our guys don’t say a word (publicly) about this. I hope our guys just quietly go over there and kick their butts.
I dislike any team hanging around touching our accomplishments. Among them, in this order. Duke, Kentucky, UCLA, Kansas, Indiana. I like to see all of those teams lose whenever possible.
Now Cousins has a point, and we all know this is probably status quo for KU. I really don’t know why he’d say this. I mean, much more is expected of his team this year than ours. We just cleaned house after a NC team and season. He’s not supposed to be that impressed with our squad. It’s not like all the talking heads are predicting us to win either.
I could see his sentiments if this was last year, when everyone and their grandmothers were loathing over UNC’s quality team. It just makes no sense to say you’re not that impressed with a team outside the top 10. Guess what Demarcus, you’re not supposed to be that impressed with us. However, we ARE supposed to be impressed with your team. And guess what else, I am not that impressed with your team either, you know the team, touted in the nation as the best in the land, Kentucky.
Yeah, well, I’m not that impressed with Kensucky either. Oh yeah, I went there!

But that’s uncgirl language for “I don’t give a dang about what some Kensucky player thinks, we’ll settle this on the court!” You just have to learn how to decode it.
But THF will always come first. I just happen to have an IC account too.
I don’t have an issue with you or your opinion. I just have an awful lot of built-up IC stupidity fatigue (from such threads as “For all those hating on Greg Ocho Little…”, “Davis A Favorite for Irish Job”, and “Joseph Forte – Israeli connection”) right now; there’s a reason why I’ve never poasted at IC and probably never will. It was just jarring mentally to see an IC poast copied-and-pasted here, on the heels of having seen it on IC less than five minutes earlier, that’s all.
