i'm not concerned if Z starts or not. some guys are better off the bench, as was proved tonight.
we have ten guys that CAN all contribute. if it goes down to 8 or even just 9, who do you give the least minutes to?
Drew
Ginyard
Davis
Deon
Wear
Wear
Graves
Henson
Strickland
Zeller

thats without McDonald or Watts. its going to happen, Roy isnt going to play 12 guys, but, man, thats tough when they show what they have. Strickland was 1-5 but really had 2 if not 3 other shots that were GOOD shots, just did not go down.

you'd have to guess Graves, Henson and T Wear are the last 3...but look what Will did tonight.

This game leaves me wondering if our bigger problem is a habit of getting flustered on the road? Are we allowing hostile crowds to affect us?

Agreed. MU shot 11-40 from the field in the 2nd half. That kind of D will win a LOT of games for you.

Easily their best game this season. All our areas of concern -- ballhandling, defense, offensive rebounding -- showed marked improvement.

Graves may have found his niche as Mr. Instant Offense off the bench, a la Danny Green two years ago.

I don't see how you keep Zeller out of the starting lineup. He's our best shooter, and ambidextrous. He still has a ways to go on defense, but is showing improvement. Admittedly I'm partial to frontcourt players from the Midwest named Tyler, but what can I say? I think Zeller has a big future, and it increasingly looks as if -- as George Allen used to say -- the future is now.

I also thought Ginyard played his best game of the year, and about time.

It's hard to think of a negative. This is a great Christmas present for us. We got pretty well beat up by Texas, and we both put that behind us and learned from it.

Way to go guys.

Graves concentrated on securing the ball when he got it, passed the ball ahead and didn't overhandle and he crashed the boards very effectively. He also didn't have the lapses that have characterized his play. A lot of us have been down on him, myself included, and he earned his seat on the bench to start this game, but I have to give him a ton of credit for how well he played and not making the errors that have plagued his career.

Wow, Claire. I'd have to go a long way to get a biscuit. Of course, I wouldn't be complaining 'cause I'd be in Carolina and probably be able to see a game in the Dean Dome.
