The joys of Twitter which lets us see that Dexter Strickland does not think highly of the opinions emanating from college basketball punditry. I can only imagine what he might say if he stumbles upon THF.
Any takers on how quick this tweet gets pulled?

Oh great.. that’ll get him even less playing time…
Did that come with a translation?
but, but, I thought he was transferring…wth?
The folks in Kansas are sure enjoying themselves….
“Ol’ Roy’s boys tanking”
http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2010/feb/02/ol-roys-boys-tanking/
I don’t think this will get pulled at all. If I’m Roy, I want the “we’ll show them” attitude cultivated any way possible.
“I can only imagine what he might say if he stumbles upon THF.”
Since the majority of the discussion has been on Strickland playing more than TWSNBN, I’d imagine he might tweet an ‘AMEN’.
That is a good attitude. I was hoping they might start “showing them” a little earlier in the schedule, but better late than never. C’mon Heels, let’s get this done. You’re down to your last wall, or two, to be backed up against.
If they can crash through a practice court wall, why not some opponents?
They are going to have to do it as a team, which has been the problem. 1-3 playing well for stretches isn’t enough for these guys.
All for one and one for all!
whats “smh”?
anyway…*shrug* @ this. didnt we see similar tweets from Davis and Henson going back several weeks?
+5 for spelling embarrassment right, tho.
smh = Shake My Head

And I thought Graves was the only mis-speller in the group. Henson can spell.
There is a difference between writing a paper and writing on Facebook or Twitter. It’ll get interesting if they start using leet. Then I’m in trouble…

And you have to love this one:
IF IT BLEEDS, WE CAN KILL IT!
At this point I am glad to see any show of fight or emotions from ANY Tarheel player. I like Strickland and have long thought that he has needed and deserved more playing time. IF they can get it together long enough to BEAT DOOK next week that would be a great plus for Roy and these guys. Hell, I can hope can’t I?
thank you, L8N!
give yourself +5 in the “grading” system.
I’m taking +10 in the system… I might lose points later, so I better stock up now.
ok, L8N. you are now starting ahead of AZACCFan.
absolutely AZACCFan
cause we ain’t got time to bleed!
Heel To The End
That’s fine. But I might surprise you with my teenage ringers. Text maniacs all. I’ll just have them sub for me.
I love it that Strickland has an in-your-face attitude. I don’t love it so much that any of our players is still yacking for public consumption. The season’s results do not exactly justify a soapbox. Would Dean Smith have put up with this stuff?
Less talk. More wins.
i text faster than my teenager. and, i never use abbreviations. take that, youth of today!
Big Game –
I was more into George Jones. Still, you gotta like Arnold. His best role, for present purposes, was in “Conan the Barbarian,” with Wilt Chamberlain.
God knows we could use Wilt right now.
HTTE –
You don’t use abbreviations, but you save four milliseconds per sentence by omitting capital letters, so you’re cheating!!
Heel To The End
Just make sure you have the “unlimited” texting plan.
And thumb replacement policy.
The thing I cannot understand is how you spend hours texting, when you could say it in a minute.
Oops! Is that what I am doing here?
You know what’s really annoying?
I was so excited to see all of these UNC games broadcast here in Arizona this year.
Of course it is following last year’s results.
They are playing on Sunday right before that small Fball game. National TV.
I would be happy to see them as many times next year.
Hope it happens.
oh rath: I’m disappointed man: I thought that clip was just what the Dr ordered. Read the comments section of the clip.
“Predator” is one o those sleeper/guilty pleasures imo. I’ll work in one from another fav sometime–”Payback” w/Mel Gibson
rath,
yeah, i get that complaint a lot online. this is a different “style” i’ve chosen here. caps arent always necessary. nor are all apostrophes. so i dont use one for a word like arent, easily recognizable, but i do for i’ll, which would be a different word entirely.
my phone has T9, or whatever it is, that guesses the word you want. actually, my droid gives me a whole bunch of choices. that helps with speed.
and i DO have unlimited texting, AZ. during games, i might have 5 fellow fans texting me, so i cant talk to them all at once.
Roy, as the warden from Cool Hand Luke:
what we have heeeere is, a failure to communicate. some men…just cant be reached.
And then sometimes you feel like the Black Knight:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eMkth8FWno
I agree with Dexter! Some of y’all are acting like State fans and that disgusts me. The only way some of y’all can sink any lower is to start acting like dookies. I’m a Tar Heel to the end, and I’m going to support this team to the end. All I’m saying is they need us behind them instead of calling for firing of the coach and benching of the seniors. Be Tar Heels born and bred!
uncgirl –
Hey wait a minute! My nephew IS a Dookie. But don’t blame me. He got turned down (foolishly) at Harvard and Stanford and that’s what was left.
I also got turned down at Harvard and Stanford, at least for undergrad school, but I had better sense than to go to……….the Other Place.
A lot of us, especially those, like me, who were in love with Hansbrough not just for his success but for his heart and guts and refuse-to-lose attitude, are disappointed by this team. How could it be otherwise? All we want is for our best players to be out there playing the minutes they’ve earned — for their sake and the team’s.
It was bad enough having to stock up on M&M’s for one game. Now I have to stock up for the whole darn season. By the time March rolls around, I’m gonna look like a walrus.
so true unc girl…let’s just get on the bandwagon of blind faith, seriously, no sarcasm there.
not sure if any of you read my play by play of the game that was being re-aired a few hours ago (uva), but dang….it’s not roy and many times it’s not an effort thing either, it’s just like every one is inexperienced. which they are, from ed and larry not used to starring roles to deon nad ginyard not used to having to make big contributions to the frosh.
a few more buckets, a few more tough rebounds, and better in game decision making and the next few games can go our way.
then, with confidence, hopefully we can start playing with instinct. roy will tighten up the rotations and lineups in the next few weeks and we should start seeing some improvement.
let the forward progress begin!
I’m with you on supporting the team, uncgirl50. The first response you’re likely to get, though, is something like: We all support the Tar Heels, but….whatever. That’s valid because honest critique of a team that’s not doing well is as much a part of the process as the joy experienced with a team that’s winning a championship. But the doom and gloom mentality, however realistic, gets really old.
These people behind us at the game Sunday night (fortunately not the regular seat holders) had a running commentary of sarcasm and bad-mouthing toward the players going for practically the whole game. I’m sitting there trying to cheer them on and the guys behind trying to run them down. Finally they left with about 8 minutes to go. It just made me think that if it’s going to be so painful for them, why even bother?
Whatcha gonna do?
turn around and smack them in the mouth!
then if security tries to kick you out, call roy and tell him they were badmouthing the players!
SH*T! that could work!
Don’t think that didn’t cross my mind.
rathskellar68:
I have been a student at three ACC Universities (Yes including the school in Durham). I have been on the faculty at one. My father is an emeritus professor (50 years! on faculty) at WFU. There are lots of fine institutions in North Carolina especially.
One thing that I admire about UNC is that the athletic effort is not just about Men’s Basketball. Unlike many big schools, the money making of the big two programs goes to support the more than two dozen other very successful sports efforts.
Most schools only pay lip service to non-revenue sports. Not at UNC:
North Carolina’s athletic program contains 28 varsity programs and more than 867 varsity athletes, supported by more than $70 million of annual revenue. More than half of that revenue comes from football and men’s basketball.
In the past four years, UNC either won the NCAA title or finished as the runner-up seven times — in field hockey twice, women’s soccer three times, women’s lacrosse and men’s basketball.
Athletic Director Dick Baddour and the University are committed to supporting those non-revenue sports.
“I look at the broad-based program as a core value of the University,” Baddour said. “I believe that’s what our fans want, our students want, our faculty wants.”
But UNC and Baddour compete against a host of major universities with huge cash flows and fewer programs to support, and the Tar Heels struggle to keep pace. Many major universities opt to support the minimum 16 varsity teams required for Division-I status.
Take the University of Texas. The athletics department reported revenue of more than $138 million last year — almost double UNC’s.
But the Longhorn athletic department fields only 19 varsity teams.
So it’s not just about the basketball team. But when they win, it definitely helps everyone. Even the other ACC schools.
Which is fine with me!
Way to go UNCGirl…
We are just used to winning & it is our nature to want to ‘fix’ the losing. I do try to keep in mind “how would I feel if I were in their shoes”
I know this– I will be at the NC State game and I will be yelling my rear off. Win or lose I will remain there rooting them on until the end.
The other night I wanted to change the channel, but that inner most deep down voice kept saying “Don’t quit your boys!!!” I urge you all “Don’t quit your boys”
AZACCFan thanks for you last post. That is the stuff that is great on this site.
ugh another chiding from UNCgirl because some of us expect the program to stay at a high level. You say we’re acting like state fans, well, maybe that’s because we’re playing at the level of the NC State program this season. No one here is going to stop pulling for the Heels but we come here to voice frustrations. I for one am sick of the people who question whether or not people are fans because they express frustrations or question the ‘infallible’ coaching of Roy.
AZACCFan –
You force me to confess. My niece went to WFU. My other niece was a Gamecock. But one of my uncles was on the faculty of the UNC med school, as is a cousin.
An objective observer might say that Dook, Carolina and WFU are all quite good. At the time I went to UNC, it was considered academically as good or better than Dook. That was before years of having its budget strangled by the state legislature.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that UNC is still harder for us out-of-staters to get into than Duke is.
We’ve always known that Strickland has moxy. He’s a tough kid who starred at the famous St. Anthony High School in New Jersey, coached by the legendary – and noted tough guy – Bob Hurley.
I wonder why Dexter is so confident? He must see something in practice that we are not seeing, and perhaps he’s thinking that the team will start hitting on all cylinders soon. I hope he’s right, but I’m having a hard time seeing it after the dreadful Virginia game.
^Not to nitpick, but Strickland went to St. Pat’s, not St. Anthony’s. Dominic Cheek was the player from St. Ant’s.
St. Pat’s was fantastic, though. Won three straight State titles and State Tourney of Champs (unified) and were led by Dex, Kyrie Irving, and Michael Gilchrist, who most consider the best player in the class of 2011.
Well UNC33, I’m sorry if I’m bothering you. I’ll shut my overly positive mouth and continue to let the so called “fans” tear this team down. It’s just it bothers me to see the fans that claim to be with this team 100%, continually bash every person on the team and coaching staff because of one lousy season. And I take it personally, because frankly, this team feels like my family.
By the way, thank you joebill, LarryS and Jordan8027. I appreciate the support. And Rath, I understand what you’re saying. But others are going farther than saying that, and it bothers me.
UNCGirl50, no one injected gender into this. We ALL appreciate what you bring to the table, and in this instance, is checks n balances to our pessimism. I don’t view the crotiquing as negative, but mere frustration because we see talented kids and know our w/l record could be better. Some people have laid out decisions they’d make if they were coach, and a few of them I agree with. With that being said, I wouldn’t take anyone as head coach over our team than Roy Williams. Everyone makes mistakes, and maybe this year is Roy’s. I can live with it because we are coming off of 2 national championships, and at the rate we recruit, I think we’ll see a few more.
It makes it more difficult to see teams that are nearing our historic accomplishments having great seasons such as Kentucky, Kansas, and Duke. I think we all feel that if our freshmen were given more playing time, we would at the very least see more exciting basketball to ease the misery of the other’s success.
C.Michael –
As usual, you are correct. It was also very hard for out-of-staters to get into even back in my day, which was….um…..well….I respectfully invoke my Fifth Amendment privelege.
uncgirl –
I love your optimism, without sharing it. Someone’s got to put some youthful energy in here, and I know it ain’t me.
I am going to be very optimistic. I say we win the rest of the regular season games, with one loss at Duke. I say we do pretty well in the ACC tournament, maybe make it to the finals. We will be in the big dance, down to the Sweet 16.
Go Heels-lets turn this baby around!!
Thanks for clearing that up, C.Michael.
I am struggling with a thought here. Did Roy say before the season he was going to try something new on offense coming into the season? An offense that was hatched up in one of these UNC coach family tree retreat things? It was an offense that would mesh well with a team that had size like UNC.
Did I dream up this stuff?
unc steph –
Whatever you’ve got there, please send me some.
http://beyondthearc.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/11/03/2118497.aspx
haha found this and apparently we talked about it here. too funny.
UNCgirl, You’re fighting a losing battle around here for the most part. Depression has set in. Anger. Feelings of being let down and having ones’ trust breached. Insulted by the basketball pretenders, the slackers, the never-will-amount-to-anythings. Of course I exaggerate, but not by a lot it sometimes seems. But fear not, good cheer will return someday, someway. In the meantime, keep up the faith. And, FWIW, of all the folks on this site I would choose to attend a game with, it would be you.
Ha. I just saw that THF banned that “birthright” dude. Haha. Way to go THF. I’m typically not for censorship but that guy had some anger management issues to deal with offline.
Why is it okay for people on this site to make rude remarks about Danny Green and Danny Green’s father?
A regular commenter on here today made a really asinine remark about Danny Green’s father. And this was a guy who was criticizing other people for criticizing some current UNC players.
I respect the heck out of Danny Green and I respect his father and I would prefer not to hear such negativity about one of our greatest players.
I am glad that we recruited Danny Green and he was a great credit to UNC, even if his father couldn’t attend games and had to write letters.
I am sure that Danny and his father both wish the situation could have been different for all of you utter snobs in the Tar Heel family. I am sure no one in any of your families has ever made a mistake.
I have no idea why some fellow was banned today. The comment may have been cleaned up. It didn’t seem all that pointed a comment to me. Honestly, I have no idea what “birthright” was even supposed to mean.
I would prefer however, that we give people the benefit of the doubt, even though there are probably tons of comments on here that offend all of us.
Very little of what is said on here is any different from what is in the newspapers, with the exception that there is much more repetition here. Well, duh, we are all fanatics.
Let’s all try to keep learning about basketball and stay off our high-horses.
Let’s face it, Roy probably has zero use for any of us, so let’s try to use common-sense to make this site something that achieves a reasonable balance, and I am not sure we are all that far off.
Few if any comments on here involve personal attacks. Most are couched in statistics or in the balance of playing styles between the guards. If there is too much repetition calling for the removal of certain players, well, maybe there is too much playing of certain players–and that came first.
I honestly do not see anything really wrong with the behavior of the vast majority of commenters regarding UNC’s horrible month.
My only issue with Danny Green’s father was I thought he was giving his son horrid advice about the NBA. The stuff I heard coming out during the summer of 2008 was that he thought his son was a lottery pick or 1st round when there was not one solitary piece of evidence to back that up. I also thought he could have served his son better during that period by not talking to Dan Wiederer at the Fayetteville Observer every other week.
It is true that he was in conflict with Roy Williams and wrote letters complaining about Green’s playing time which Roy did not care for. On top of that Green’s father told Green to test the waters whereas Roy thought it was a waste of time. I actually thought Roy was wrong there given the way the system worked.
joebill,
Supposedly UNC was going to use an offense which put the big men in more face up positions since it was known they were not very good finishing in traffic. Since the offense has looked so darn haphazard out there I have no idea if they ever used it or not. I do recall Roy saying something last week to the effect that they had tried 3 or 4 different offenses so far and none of them have worked well.
Where the banned reader is concerned let’s just say it went beyond what was seen in the comments section. Not everything he wrote made it out there and his email directly to me after he was banned confirmed my decision was the correct one.
Danny Green was my favorite player from last year, though I liked them all. He had a lot on his shoulders over the years, and seemed to get a disproportionate amount of calling outs from Roy. But he took it all in stride, he improved, he danced alot, and smiled alot. What’s not to like? And the neat thing about him now is, I think he’s got a very good chance to get an NBA Championship ring this year with the Cavaliers, along with Jawad. How cool would that be?
Speaking of balance on this site, combined with fanatics. One of the secondary definitions of a fanatic is actions characterized by obsessive or unbalanced behavior. Not that that’s a bad thing.
LarryS –
Who among us would NOT like to go to a game with a chipper 18 year-old freshman girl?
Hmmmmmmmmmmm……..I hope my wife doesn’t read this blog.
I understand that. My point is that writing letters seems heavy-handed nowadays, but I don’t know if Mr. Green had any other way of contacting Coach Williams. I don’t even know why Roy would have let such matters emerge from the confidentiality of his office. I don’t think Coach Smith would have.
As great a success as Roy Williams is, I still think that there is a lot that he could learn by trying to run UNC basketball more like Dean Smith ran it.
He has made some improvements, but overall, he is not the man that Dean Smith was, even though he might end up being more successful in terms of championships.
I can’t prove this, because we are in the era of the internet, which Smith largely missed, but Roy’s jarring treatment of his players, in terms of calling some of them out in a negative way in the media, and in terms of almost unabashedly playing favorites, is probably one of the main things feeding the current frenzy of negativity.
Dean stuck with King Rice and Rice took him to the Final Four, and he stuck with Steve Hale and I thought he was right about that as well. Mike Pepper and Dudley Bradley came through for him as well.
Generally, Dean was right about these matters, but I don’t think Roy has been right about a few players.
I think Roy is a far better basketball coach than Mack Brown is a football coach but the the situation is not entirely dissimilar.
People in Texas pay Mack the big bucks to get big-time recruits, but no one thinks Mack is any kind of football genius.
To me, much of the criticism of Ginyard, is actually veiled criticism of Roy Williams. If he was unfortunate at Kansas in terms of winning, at UNC, he has been perhaps far too blessed.
Most coaches would never have the opportunity to start a Manuel or guy like that basically just to be stubborn.
Most coaches wouldn’t be able to let a Zeller languish on the bench the whole season and then make a snide remark about Zeller’s defense to the media. They don’t have enough depth, plus the next kid wouldn’t come.
Most coaches would never deign to criticize their fans for giving them advice and then in the next breath, criticize the same fans for not being joyful enough about winning the title or going to enough games.
Are we supposed to care or not? Or are we only supposed to bathe in the Coach’s glory and never state our own opinions?
Anyway, Coach Williams has done his level best to alienate as many of his truly affectionate admirers as possible this year. They used to say just let Reagan be Reagan, but Roy might want to try the George Costanza strategy of doing the opposite of his own inclinations for a while.
Excellent post William, and I agree 100 percent. I can tell you I have done near perfect work on my job lately. I can also tell you if a week goes by and I don’t make deadlines, I will be hearing some criticism. It really just comes with the territory. Maybe we have beat a dead horse, and I understand people’s sentiments about moving on. But what I don’t like, and you alluded to this William, is this idea that select people are above reproach. Hell, even Michael Jordan was told by ESPN to “Bag It”. So yes, everyone is subject to it.
JB, yeah, I really shouldn’t have included that in there. But sometimes I feel like people don’t respect me because I am a girl. So please, disregard that statement.
LarryS, the losing battles are the only one worth fighting.
And thank you. Picking me out of all the more basketball savvy posters on here means a lot.
I hear ya Rath! Given the other options, who can blame him, right?
JBowling, william and THF –
I think the basic problem was that what we were all left with was the last half of Sunday’s game, which was, for a Carolina fan, basketball hell. It takes a few days to re-orient.
UNCGirl50, trust me, my wife feels like she could outcoach Roy Williams. As tough as I may be, I’m a humble choir-boy compared to her. Some of her ideas I think are good, and others I would never try. Point is, I think folks around here look at the content of your posts without any regard to what your gender is, of course, unless you’re being asked to go to a game. Then that changes!
You said that right Rath!
JB, I’m glad to know that.
As for all this about going to a game with me, cool it y’all. Okay? It’s getting a little weird for me.
I know you have to hate being hit on while your boyfriend is away in Indiana.
Exactly, I don’t think he would like it that much. Watch out! They don’t call him Psycho T for nothing!
uncgirl –
My wife is a girl (obviously) and is possibly the most brilliant person I have ever met. She was near the top of her class at Yale, a Supreme Court law clerk to Justice Scalia, Associate White House Counsel to President George H. W. Bush, law professor at Georgetown and General Counsel of the Department of Energy.
Yes, I am bragging.
But the point is that anyone who denigrates the intelligence or perspicacity of women is flat-out nuts.
Hopefully some of our current players can develop a Psycho reputation. I know if I was playing, I would.
And congrats Rath for marrying up! J/K!
Dude I got it! I can date all the players, then let a dook player hit on me in front of them, and bam! We got the toughest players in the nation!
rath, that’s really impressive. All I want to do is double-major in history and buisness, go to law school and marry a pro athlete.
JBowling –
If we ever have another player even remotely like TH, we can count ourselves as the luckiest fans on earth.
Yeah, I will probably be in waiting for a while. Agree 100 percent!
JBowling –
“And congrats Rath for marrying up!”
Hold on there a minute! I mean, uh, I didn’t flunk calculus (I dropped it in the nick of time). And I played on the intramural basketball team in the “Basketball for Nerds” division. I think I scored that season, too. Once.
^That’s once more than Wanda.
ya know, we talk about our skinny players, our less than tough players,
and then you see a pretty darn thin guy like Kevin Durant scoring 25+ per game for 20 straight games. in the NBA.
hm.
I really hope John Henson was watching that. Or the Food Channel.
awesome, seems like blog commenting morale is currently trading at its daily highs right now…glad i checked back before shutting it down for the night!
glad to see some serious DG love, taht never gets old, i think that kid had a great attitude and overcame some difficulties. i still get choked up a bit thinking back to the little personal interest story they ran during the final four (i think) about his father finally able to watch his games.
yeah, we sit on a high horse, we are all fortunate to be a part of this university one way or another, be it alumni fans friends etc…so why not be proud and discuss how we can continue to be the best.
love it
I think all we needed was a little humour to brighten our days! As always I am happy to oblige.
Go Heels!
People on here choose their own tag. No one forces anyone to call themselves anything that identifies them as either sex. Some people however do choose to call themselves something that identifies their sex in a blatant manner. I am not sure why.
People who make good, clever or interesting comments on here get treated generally with respect. People who generally make comments about the physical appearance of ballplayers or who make comments that generally do not teach or edify the readers about UNC basketball may not be treated with that same level of respect.
Ultimately, if you want to be respected like C.Michael or Doc, then try to make comments that teach and edify about basketball.
I am not saying there shouldn’t be any banter on here, far from it, but come on, when some purported female commenters are continually remarking about male athletes’ looks, and their hopes to marry them–if guys made comments like that on a site about women’s basketball, it would be considered completely inappropriate, and I don’t see what the difference is here.
HTTE, Manute Bol was 7’6 and probably weighed a little over 190 pounds, but got it done. And you’re right, Kevin Durant has been amazing thus far this season. Who’d have ever thought the OK Thunder would be in playoff contention right now in the 6th spot in the west division? And you can thank Kevin Durant for that!
I know it was just one jumpshot, but John Henson looked just like K.D. last game when he came off the curl and jacked it up like a cold blooded shooter. He will eventually get his game going.
^^wait, i cant say someone’s skinny?
I pretty much agree William. I can handle enthusiasm and our current crotique if it is married with logic and reason.
HTTE, I have no problem with it. It can affect one’s play afterall.
surely, william doesnt mean a ban on the term Scheyerface, either!
Sometimes a player’s build is key to his success on the court. Julius Peppers and Sean May come easily to mind. Rusty Clark too, if you go back aways. Lawson’s relatively short stature and low center of gravity abetted his amazing acceleration, which was crucial to his game.
I also think Henson’s lack of bulk hurts him, because at his height and with his shot-blocking ability he is a natural inside player. And Graves’ excess bulk held him back for much of his career, although now he looks more muscular than overweight, and it’s helped.
uncgirl50,
It’s not about basketball savvy, it’s about the fun. That’s why I love going to the games with my wife….she’s more fun than anyone I know at sporting events. And as bizarre as it seems, I’m having fun this year, well at least great interest and often fun, just watching the process of the kids trying to meet the challenges and correct their mistakes; watching Roy trying to deal with things he’s never dealt with. Sometimes it’s not easy, or pretty, but it mimics life – it is life. And sometimes you learn new things about yourself and come out a stronger person. I know the players aren’t going to quit, and when they finally get it together it’s going to be very rewarding.
rath, Lawson was also very strong for his size . Just watching him with Denver this year, he rarely gets pushed around -sure he gets hard screens now and then, but he fights through them – and mans up pretty well on D, though he does get a lot of height mismatches. I think his strength and rebounding has surprised a lot of his team mates.
William, ok, I get it. It’s just a joke, but if it bothers you or anyone else, I’ll stop. But everyone has different contributions. I don’t have much of a basketball IQ, so I try to make up for it by joking around or just saying what’s on my mind, which much of the time, regards a player’s looks. Sorry, I’ll keep my comments basketball related in the future.
^pshaw, i say. no biggie.
Say what you want, but just don’t complain that people are treating you differently because you are female. They are treating you differently because you make different kinds of comments.
I think you are a nice person, but it is unfair to engage in banter and then tell those guys they are making you feel weird when you initiated that level of discourse. The only reason those guys were talking about that stuff was to try to be nice to you and then you made a comment as though they were misbehaving towards you.
as a dirty old man, i find offence, sir! (english spelling)
hey, at least we arent Thee Sports Blog. they dont even stick to sports over there!

^^What? I didn’t say anything like that! Wouldn’t you feel weird if someone you had never met was talking about going to basketball game with you, because you were a young college girl? (Not talking about you LarryS.) I don’t mean to be rude, but I also said to disregard the comment about my gender, I didn’t mean it.
I took that term out, and maybe all of these comments should be yanked but I honestly think moving from criticizing players to this was a step down, lol.
The banter to me is strange going both ways. You’ve probably never met Hansbrough and you call him your boyfriend. You always talk about the Wears too. I just think that level of familiarity is trickling back.
Well, I didn’t mean to insult anybody by saying that, and I’m sorry if I did. Happy now, William?
That is the best apology I have ever heard in my whole life….
At least you are mad at me now, instead of the guys who were making you feel weird….

The problem with Scheyer is that he’s darn good. I wish we had him.
Admittedly I’d only say that after midnight, but it’s true.
