The joys of Twitter which lets us see that Dexter Strickland does not think highly of the opinions emanating from college basketball punditry. I can only imagine what he might say if he stumbles upon THF.
Any takers on how quick this tweet gets pulled?

I was never mad at them! It was just getting a little odd for me! Besides, it was all in good fun! Could you please just stop attacking me? I never meant to insult or upset anyone, so would you please just leave me alone?
great william and uncgirl can kiss and make up now SNAP line crossed…
kidding move on
JB – so happy someone else mentioned that. that jumper was like “where the heck did that come from” and all of a sudden henson is a beast for one play. i think KD comparisons are unfair b/c KD was a tall shooter, but still a shooter first. Henson is just a tall athlete who has some ball handling skills and a decent outside shot.
technically, and i’m no expert beyond being a high school level 6′ white role player, but henson still catches the ball and uses his right foot as his pivot foot. anyone else notice that? like if you’re looking to be a shooter and a scorer you can’t execute an effective drive or get right into your shooting motion pivoting off your right foot as a right handed player.

I have graduated from all the schools you mention. They are all good schools. I was on the faculty at WFU for a few years.
I enjoy reading this site due to the interesting comments and articles here. If you live in the Southeast, please be grateful for the wonderful institutions and everything else in the area.
I especially treasured the last few years as I frankly idolized Hansbrough. Sure the other great players were part of the team, but I really admired him. I regret never being able to see him play in person.
I have a tough medical career, and the inspiration from guys like Hansbrough is frankly motivating. There are certainly other athletes whose accomplishments are inspirational like Bode Miller or Lance Armstrong. There are local athletes I ride bikes with here that inspire me. And get me out of bed early on the weekend to train.
But there is just something very special about Hansbrough to me that I have rarely seen in a college athlete. It isn’t just about being the best. It is his determination to try. No matter what. In many ways his leadership was showing the other players that they could succeed by listening to the coaching staff and following their programs, on and off season. It was also about seeing him succeed. That was just really fun!
It has been painful seeing the team go through this tough year. But I am sure it hasn’t been easy for the UNC players either. The coach has certainly not been easy on them. It is not very glamorous to find many of your former supporters turned against you. It’s fine to be partisan. But there are limits.
Hopefully everyone will learn from this process, and come out of it better.
Go Heels.
You have played the gender card, then the sexual harassment card and now you are playing the attack card.
Nobody has any idea who you are or if you are really a UNC student or really a female and guess what, nobody cares!
Nobody is attacking you and nobody even cares. Let’s talk about basketball and not about who is cute or who is going to the game with whom or whose boyfriend is in Indiana and is going to kick ******.
Are you trying to upset me? Because if you are, it’s working, what did I ever do to you to cause you to do this to me? Forget it, I’m done. I’m not going to pollute this blog with this petty arguement. If you have a problem with me, then let me know outside of the blog. Because THF must be getting really tired of this, I don’t want him to have to intervene.
Getting back to the current controversy with Roy and Danny and Marcus. The thing that makes me mad is that Danny Green was far better looking than Marcus Ginyard and yet, Roy apparently never took that into consideration back in 2008.
this argument is way more entertaining than PT in 2008 b/c well, we won the title in 2009 anyways.
as a reader of nearly every article and every comment, i recall uncgirl saying she was somewhat of a ‘novice’ and new to being a fanatic. commenters typically supported and encouraged her and appreciated the enthusiasm regardless of how intellectual she was w/ statistics. one dude tonight made a comment in the exact same context, saying it’s okay, you don’t have to know more than the next guy/girl to have an opinion. that was taken by uncgirl as being weird. okay, maybe you took it wrong.
no need to be a jerk william, just let it go, your comments are just sad and i’m embarassed for you. it’s a freaking blog thread.
I do think I took a statement wrong. I’m sorry for the confusion. My bad, I’ll try to avoid thinking like that in the future. You see, I get stuff like that a lot, and I just assumed that it meant what I usually hear. Sorry again, I didn’t mean to start so much drama.
well now you’re just bragging lol
I don’t think you addressed any of the issues Jordan, which might be embarrassing for you. If you want to rebut something, then rebut it. If you think commenting on players’ physical appearances is appropriate, then say that you want much more of those types of comments.
People complain about the excesses of the IC boards but you really don’t see comments about people’s physical appearances on there, which is how it should be.
I don’t think anyone one on here is trying to make dates for basketball games and if someone (I don’t even remember who it was and I won’t look) make a flip remark, I think it should have simply been ignored.
So once again, we can try to move on, unless Jordan has another comment intended to try to stir the pot some more.
and THIS thread needs a picture of a ditch, as that is certainly where its been driven off into by all concerned.
time to move along, i say!
it got a little weird w/ uncgirl taking a friendly innocent comment to a place it should never have gone. we all read the thread and it is definitely not why i’m here, neither are you, we’re here to discuss relevant unc/basketball topics. my issue is that the commenter directly apologized to you and you’re still attacking that commenter directly. just not needed.
oh, i can move on, you edited your commented and i hadn’t refreshed the screen in time
Let’s all go forth and sin no more.
indeed!
All I can say is WOW!
Thank God for the internet. It makes weak people strong and strong people bullies.
Ya know I invented the internet…uh um well me and Al Gore.
Signing day is Wednesday, looks like we made a comeback our class looks to be top 30! YAY!
Be happy people it’s just basketball we will get better. I work in a hospital dealing with sick and dying people 12 to 13 hours a day. Again this is just basketball.
Try and be happy, life is short. Trust me on this.
Do it, prove us wrong. Also, remember he’s a freshman – maybe after an English class he can write in complete sentenc–um, complete words.
Good post William. Only one poster made a comment that could be considered the least offensive, and it wasn’t either you or me. Definately time to move on.
