Yes, it has not been a season to remember for UNC fans, but for for basketball junkies, which I suspect a lot of us are, the next 10 days are about the best 10 days of the year. March Madness has begun!! Here’s hoping for more performances like Anthony Johnson had last night against Weber St.
ACC Tournament Schedule
Virginia versus Boston College (noon)
Miami versus Wake Forest (2:00 PM)
UNC versus Georgia Tech (7:00 PM)
NC State versus Clemson (9:00 PM)

I’m conflicted. I never missed a game this season. Yes, I said I would never watch them play after losing at BC, but I still watched them over and over, and sat through the whole Cameron ordeal. So I don’t know about this one. Maybe I will, but hopefully it won’t be so demoralizing and depressing to watch them play.
Reggie Jackson’s non-traditional use of the headband reminds me that you can be creative with something that seems to only have one function.
Well, on the plus side maybe I’ll get to see some inspired basketball from the Heels tonight in Greensboro. On the plus side, if they lose (which I hope they don’t) at least I can watch all the remaining games for what they are and not have to do all the permutations in my head of how each team matches up with Carolina.
By the way, anyone within driving range of GSO, the ticket market is definitely a buyer’s market this year. More so than usual. So if you’re a basketball junkie, I’d say take full advantage.
This truly is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, I just wish the Heels were playing better. Maybe they can pick up a win tonight and give us all one more game to watch tomorrow. I would like to see Henson go for 20pts,12 rebounds and 6 blocks. And for God sake, someone make a free throw.
Wake down 22 to the 12 seed, as McFarland gets 2 dumb fouls to start the 2nd. i will miss that guy. *snicker*
is Aminu picking out an SUV color already? has he checked out?
Gaudio and Hewitt seem to underachieve down the stretch. and we think we have frustrations.

Memphis lost by 1 today, in a game that had an Elliott Williams dunk disallowed because it hit his own head, and popped out, before it cleared the net.
“Gaudio and Hewitt seem to underachieve down the stretch.”
Both should have been gone before this season, now I believe both will get one more year to prove they should be fired.
not sure why theyd wait on Hewitt. but i’ve been saying that for almost 5 years now. he will have less talent next year than this.
BC’s effort today was pretty bad. Trapani, Southern, and Raji (3 Juniors) combine for 10 pts.
i dont know if i have ever seen an ACC season where there have been more disinterested performances.
^ and still has a chance to beat a Roy Williams coached team 3 times in one year..
Please UNC pulls this one out
yeah, its over. Wake would need a 24-0 run in the last 5:30. that ain’t happenin.
does Wake make the NCAAT @ 19-10, 9-8, coming off a 20pt loss to the last place team? losing 5 of your last 6?
they have a decent SOS and RPI, but they look like a team that would just be wasting their money flying off to wherever to lose an opening round game. they might be a 10 or 11 seed.

3 of those 5 last losses to us(not a plus), State, and Miami. the bottom 3 ACC teams.
^Lunardi bumped then up to a 10-seed this morning, so I would say that their position is tenuous, at best. Memphis losing to Houston will help them a lot (Lunardi had Memphis as the one of the “last four in”).
^i see Memphis doesnt have any special wins, but Wake’s vs Xavier and Gonzaga are forever ago.
losing a 1 pt game when you had a dunk go off your head vs a 21 pt loss to the worst team in your conference. i’d think twice.
Kansas tied us at 2000 wins today.
Hey – its a win/win situation tonight. Either we are going to win a game tonight or a long, wretched, unenjoyable season is finally going to end tonight. (See – I can be positive… sort of…)
I think Dino may be on his last leg and after we whip GT, Hewitt may follow him.
