As I pointed out before, UNC has never lost a basketball game I have attended so I am risking much here. I should also point out that the last game I saw UNC play was against Michigan St. I hope to see the same thing tonight that I saw three months ago.

Remember the outlook for Georgia Tech at the beginning of the season? Talented but young – likely to underachieve. In the end, we’re a 10 facing a bit of a mirror image in the 7 seed yellow jackets.

Good observation, but one difference is that Tech does have more refined physical (or physicality) at this point — making there potential higher in the short term.
We just need to continue focus on capitalizing on their mistakes.

Never underestimate the ability of a Paul Hewitt team to lay down in March… That being said, UNC is definitely taking it to them and definitely deserves much of the credit.
Probably the best half they’ve played in 6 weeks…up ten and missed 4 point blankers…does anybody know how to dunk besides Henson? I like what I see. THF is bringin the good luck.
Hey, I’m thrilled they’re winning but it sure is ugly. Hustle is there but their execution has me white-knuckling it. Agree that there must be a no-dunk rule in place.
^^^I was wondering the same thing, but concluded it was much more about what UNC did right than what GT did wrong. That was actually starting to resemble what we know as Carolina basketball.
They would be up 20 if they could finish at the rim. Is it me or did Roy change the offense? I am seeing more cuts to the basket. Maybe it is more GT than UNC
keep hitting the boards. Deon FINALLY wakes up, 17 games into the ACC season. more offensive rebounds in one half than he had in any ACC GAME by a margin of 2, and that was twice.
We need to keep our fingers crossed that GT doesn’t come out and find the their shooting touch.
this type of effort nightly would of got them into the tournment and a successful season. Keep it up heels, dont give the ABCers anything to cheer about.

I can’t help but believe Deon is hurt. There have been a number of shots that even Deon gets over defenders and they are either being blocked or are way off. He often shoots the ball into hands, but rarely off the backboard

Do our coaches really coach up the head fake? I know I have an innate bias against head fakes due to dookies excessive use of it, but head fakes are so effective when you play against a quicker and/or stronger team. Can anyone think of many of our players perimeter or low block who made great use of it?
GT is leaving it on the table, its there for the taking, just play tough UNC basketball, and believe in your teammates.

Roy Williams basically took his blueprints from two National Championship Teams and threw them out the window with this recruiting class. Both of his Championship teams featured numerous players who could bury three’s. So what does Roy do? He recruits 5 guys who have zero shooting ability. Why? What was the rationale behind that decision?
