Little-known trivia fact: UNC-Asheville freshman Keith Hornsby, who played at prep powerhouse Oak Hill Academy, is the son of jazz/pop pianist Bruce Hornsby. Dad is a huge basketball fan and will contribute to the festivities surrounding the christening of the new Kimmel Arena by performing the national anthem before Sunday's game. Bruce and saxophonist Branford Marsalis collaborated on one of the most awesome renditions of the national anthem ever, which was performed at, among other places, the 1991 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte. So in keeping with the Veteran's Day theme and the events in Asheville, enjoy the Star Spangled Banner and the game.
