NCSU played hard and with heart. Their coach is going to take them places, if not this year then with the three McDonald’s All Americans coming in next year.
I think the rivalry is healthy going forward and I hope NCSU gets to play in the NCAA T.
One thing I noticed was that the State coach effectively used his timeouts to push the pause button when we were threatening to blow the doors off. His team was beaten by the better squad, with Marshall having the game of his life. No shame in that.
I hope you are not holding up that performance as some sort of College Basketball brilliance. Michigan took 38 3s and 18 2s. 37% overall made shots. 61% from FT line. Leading scorer was 10/28 shooting the ball.
What is more, I am really impressed with all of the new ACC coaches. Across the board, they are making good progress. If the so called “blue” schools don’t watch out, there will be a much stronger conference on their hands.
Kendall Marshall was last seen, tonight, treating the stat keeper to a late steak dinner for a job well done, and reminding him that any time a pass is not caught the TO goes to the receiver.

totally agree with this Steve. I thought RB did a great job on him, but Wood was not aggressively looking for his shot. Gottfried’s strategy of having his post players face the defense worked for the most part–he just didn’t factor in KM having a career night shooting, lol. Still, you’ve gotta like what he is doing with this team. You guys are set at the HC & PG position for a while now.

Wow. UVa just makes it at the end, winning by 2. Hopefully they will be a bit gassed for Saturday.
I want Duke to fall to Florida State, and Florida State should fall in Miami. I don’t want to see Duke have any chance as a 1 seed in the Tournament.

The passes were accurate. Just slightly under the speed of sound. Z Man usually catches them, but he did not have his best night.
