Four UNC players were named to the All-ACC team in baseball the league announced on Monday.
Pitchers Kent Emanuel and Michael Morin were named to the first team while catcher Jacob Stallings and DH Brian Holberton were named to the second team.
Emanuel ended the regular season at 8-3 with 1.80 ERA and 90 Ks in 95 IP. Morin saved 17 games during the regular season with a 0.91 ERA and 43 K in 49.1 IP. Just how deep is UNC's pitching? Here are some stats for other Tar Heel pitchers.
Hobbs Johnson: 6-1 ,1.40 ERA, 51.1 IP, 63 Ks
Benton Moss: 6-2, 2.13 ERA, 67.2 IP, 77 Ks
R.C. Orlan: 8-1, 2.16 ERA, 50.0 IP, 56 Ks
In an ideal world, if you can get six innings out of Emanuel, Moss, Johnson and even Shane Taylor then turn it over to Orlan and Morin, that is a solid combination that should take the Heels deep into the NCAA Tournament.
Stallings, in his senior season, was third in the ACC in doubles and did solid work behind the plate. Holberton batted .301 on the season with 14 RBIs.
