Three Tar Heel teams prepare to move into postseason play.
-The men's lacrosse team received a #8 national seed in the NCAA Tournament and will host Denver on Saturday at 7:30 PM. The Heels, coming off a runner-up finish at the ACC Tournament, have not been to the Final Four in men's lacrosse since 1993. That is a significant drought when you consider UNC has won four NCAA titles in the sport and there are only 16 teams in the field. If UNC gets past Denver, the winner of #1 Loyola-Canisius awaits a week later in Annapolis, MD.
-The women's lacrosse team fared better in the seeding department for the NCAA Tournament receiving the #5 national seed. Like the men's team, the women's squad ended up losing in the ACC Championship game. The Heels will host Navy on Saturday at noon. If the Heels advance they would face the Syracuse-Dartmouth winner.
-The softball team won its first ACC Regular Season title since 2008 and third in school history. UNC will be seeded #1 in the ACC Tournament and face Boston College in Chapel Hill on Thursday.
