A bit of good news for Roy Williams a few hours before his team takes the floor against Long Beach State.

With the early signing period beginning this week, UNC picked up a third commitment for the class of 2013. Kennedy Meeks(West Charlotte HS), the #2 center in the 2013 class and 30th overall according to the RSCI, announced on ESPNU that he would attend North Carolina.

Meeks at 6-8, 290 pounds, is a traditional post player with the size and offensive game to completely dominate the center position. In the context of Roy Williams' tenure, Meeks is more Sean May than he is Tyler Zeller. However putting Meeks beside Joel James will make the Tar Heels incredibly difficult to defend in the post.

Meeks joins PG Nate Britt and PF Isaiah Hicks in the 2013 class. Britt is currently playing his senior season at Oak Hill Academy and is ranked 60th overall in the RSCI. Hicks is at Oxford Webb and is 12th overall. UNC has one prospective target left for this recruiting class. PF Andrew Wiggins, considered to be the top player in the class, is considering the Heels though the general consensus is Wiggins will pick either Kentucky or Florida State.
