Senior football offensive guard Jonathan Cooper has been named to the American Football Coaches Association All-American team, while soccer goalkeeper Scott Goodwin has been named the Capital One Academic All-America of the Year.

And the post-season awards continue to roll in for Tar Heels in various sports.

Jonathan Cooper, a senior from Wilmington, was one of four ACC players named to the AFCA All-American team, joining Florida State's Bjoern Werner Clemson's Tajh Boyd and Dalton Freeman. Cooper is also one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy for the nation's best interior lineman.

Scott Goodwin, a senior from Raleigh, maintains a 3.95 GPA in biology and also has allowed a NCAA-best 6 goals all season to go with 17 shut-outs, a UNC record and the 5th most in NCAA history. UNC will play Indiana in the College Cup semifinal game on Friday.

Congrats to these Tar Heels!
