The first UNC athlete is officially off the board, as Golden State has chosen Harrison Barnes. There's going to be some debate over whether this counts as "slipping." For a guy who was a preseason All-America before playing a second of college basketball, you can consider that, but there are few picks ahead of him that you can quibble with. (Maybe Dion Walters to Cleveland, but we all hate Cleveland anyway.)

Barnes should be a good fit at Golden State, where he joins a young team that finished 23-43 last season and hasn't reached the playoffs since 2007. With Stephen Curry in the backcourt, he should have a little more space and a little less attention to work his style of game. I look forward to seeing how he performs in his first season in the pros.
