Wait, what? The UNC Board of Trustees unanimously passed a resolution on Wednesday asking Holden Thorp to reconsider his resignation; the faculty passed a similar motion the day before. And thus the great paradox about Thorp's tenure: he may have handled the football and associated messes poorly, but in leading the University on a day-to-day basis, by all accounts he has done wonderfully. Let's hope Thorp sticks to his guns and leaves honorably and on his own terms.
