Brian Barbour on December 10th, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) They say all the right things because…well…what else do you expect them to say?
“No, we are pretty pissed at the fact we got shafted.”
Of course Kendric Burney, for his part, understands they sort of did this to themselves:
Junior cornerback Kendric Burney said the Heels don’t have anyone to blame but themselves after [...]

Brian Barbour on December 6th, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) And let me just say, that darn well better win. Why? Think about it, what could possibly be worse than having lost to a crappy NC State team this season? Also losing to the one legitimate team NC State happen to win a game against. Yeah, that would really suck. So it is on this [...]

Brian Barbour on December 3rd, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) Earlier this week, it appeared UNC was a lock for the Music City Bowl in Nashville which was fine considering the Heels did not do themselves in favors by losing to NCSU on Saturday. Well they were a lock until FSU’s Bobby Bowden announced he was retiring and the Gator Bowl decided to extend a [...]

Brian Barbour on December 2nd, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) Okay, he didn’t put it that way though if he did he was probably dressed like this at the time:
During an interview with Adam Gold and Joe Ovies on 620 the Buzz, Baddour was asked about speculation that Notre Dame or others might come calling for Butch Davis. Baddour [...]

Brian Barbour on November 30th, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) Take your pick as to whether you want to get pissed over the NCSU or UVa loss. Or both. Still, this is a decent bowl. Nashville is fun right? And UNC should bring a nice crowd.
As for the opponent, ACC Now is saying it will be Kentucky. ESPN in their most recent bowl projections [...]

Brian Barbour on November 30th, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) And here I thought we were going to make it through this season without having to do this dance. As you probably know, Charlie Weis will soon be a consultant for some playoff bound NFL team(probably New England) and the self deluded folks in South Bend will be on the prowl for a new head [...]

Brian Barbour on November 29th, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) I think so and mind you it is not over yet, unlike the team in Raleigh that won yesterday.
At the start of the season if I put the names Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami and NCSU in front of you and asked for UNC’s record in those four games what would you have said? I [...]

Brian Barbour on November 28th, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) Unacceptable.
This game broke at two points.
Johnny White fumbles on the one.
UNC’s completely undisciplined play which lead to penalty after penalty and gave NCSU a touchdown while snuffing out other UNC drives.
That’s it.
See you Sunday for basketball.
Brian Barbour on November 28th, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) Where: Carter-Finley Stadium, Raleigh, NC When: Saturday, November 28th, Noon TV: ESPN2 Records: UNC 8-3, 4-3 ACC; NCSU 4-7, 1-6 ACC
41-10
Those numbers have been a pox on the UNC house for over a year now. Any football discussion with NCSU fans comes back to that score. It was an embarrassment. It was humiliating. [...]

Brian Barbour on November 22nd, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) UNC returns to the AP Top 25 at #23 following the Heels’ fourth straight win. UNC started the season at #22 in the poll but was dropped after losing to Georgia Tech in Week 4. Of course that loss was followed by the dark ages of the 2009 season with the inexplicable egg laid against [...]

Brian Barbour on November 21st, 2009 | - (Comments are closed) I am a little shocked. Why? Because I have no idea how this team has posted an 8-3 record with essentially very little from the offense. I am also finding it difficult not to bang my head against a concrete wall when I think about UNC losing to UVa. At some point I’ll get over [...]

Here is hoping we don’t get the same kind of carryover the Heels seemingly got last week on the whole Harrison Barnes-beat Miami-beat Valpo stretch.
UNC takes their three game winning streak to [...]
