UNC coach Larry Fedora discusses the season, the ACC title game and what happens if Carolina beats Clemson.
UNC needs to win three straight football games. That is step 1. Then, they need some help. This post takes a look at each of these scenarios, along with a comparison to UNC basketball to show how confident fans should be about them playing out in favor of Carolina.
The ACC announced Monday that the Carolina-State game on November 28 has been placed on a six-day hold by ESPN. The game will be at either 12:00 or 3:30 and will be on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU.
This is no real surprise given the slate of games that day. Clemson and SCAR are locked in at noon on ESPN or ESPN2, and FSU at Florida is at 7:30. The other games on hold are Georgia at Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech at UVa. Given that UNC-NCSU will be the only one of those three where both teams have winning records, one might expect it to get some decent treatment. The latter is address to "Tar Heel Nation" but if it was meant for the students, that's a bit misguided. The Tar Pit has been raucous and full for the most part at home games this season. Students have done their part.
For Kenan Stadium to be full on Saturday, fans from off campus will need to show up.
Two former Tar Heel players will be a part of ESPNU's college basketball coverage during the upcoming season. 1998 National Player of the Year Antawn Jamison will do analyst and studio work for ESPNU while Jason Capel will be a game analyst.
Tar Heels on the list
9. Marcus Paige
25. Justin Jackson
38. Brice Johnson
68. Kennedy Meeks
90. Theo Pinson
Per chance could this be the starting lineup? We'll found out on Friday when UNC faces Guilford in an exhibition.
In case you've been living under a rock UNC heads to Pittsburgh tonight for a crucial Coastal Division match-up with the Panthers. The winner takes one giant step closer to winning the division. So no big deal right?(Someone hold me)
There was a change to the schedule with Jackson & Meeks being bumped up in the rotation.
