Basketball Tidbits

It occurred to me that "Late Night with Roy" is a nice ice breaker for the freshman and everyone else for that matter. The fans enjoy watching the team in relaxed setting and it is a great opportunity to get the players ready to do some serious work which according to Woody Durham during the USF game started at 8:30 AM on Saturday morning. UNC is loaded talent wise but I also imagine the next few weeks will involve a lot of hard work bring the team together to function as a unit on the court. The competition at the two guard positions with Bobby Frasor, a vastly improved Quetien Thomas, and freshman Tywon Lawson at point and Wes Miller, freshman Wayne Ellington, and possibly Frasor again at shooting guard will undoubtedly be fierce. The frontcourt is less of a mystery but it has been noted that Tyler Hansbrough will have plenty of quality players to parctice against this season which should only make his game prep better. Needless to say UNC fans are exited and anxious to see how this team performs. Anything short of the Final Four or even a national title will be disappointing to say the least.
