New offensive strategy - every time the Tar Heels enter the red zone, kick a field goal. Do it on first down if you have to, just do something to stop the interceptions in the end zone.
The defense did what they had to do, holding Tech to 143 rushing yards and only 78 passing. The one scoring drive was marred by three - three! - first downs on UNC penalties, but they redeemed themselves by forcing two turnovers and doing everything short of putting the ball in the end zone themselves to win the game.
And then the Heels put the worst offensive effort ever out on the field in the fourth quarter, and it was all for naught. Look for hiring news in the next two days - I don't think anyone's worried about "respecting homecoming" after this performance.
