Four games of very little consquence...well unless you are Miami.
- UNC thrashed Gardner Webb by 53 points...and that is all you need to know about that one.
- Virginia moved to 2-0 with a nice 85-66 win over Morgan State. The backcourt duo of J.R. Reynolds and Sean Singletary combined for 29 points, 12 assists and 13 rebounds. Not bad production from the backcourt.
- Florida State jumped out to a 42-14 halftime lead on New Orleans and then basically shut the engine off, put the car in neutral and coasted to a 69-50 victory. Al Thornton had 12 points to lead the Seminoles along with three steals.
- Miami lost to Cleveland State...Miami is not very good.
- Tonight: Georgia Tech plays Purdue, Duke takes on Air Force, and Maryland gets to enjoy the bad case of indigestion which is Winthrop who is fresh off beating Mississippi State on the road.
