Steve Spurrier, USC coach and man often associated in internet searches with domesticated farm animals more often than it would in a just world, dropped a little anecdote into the weekly football press coverage. Just a quaint little story about how in UNC hadn't beaten Miami in 2004, he'd be coaching UNC right now.
Somehow I doubt it. A call from a booster is just that, an unsolicited phone call from Some Guy. It's the equivalent of a Nobel Prize nomination. I can't see the guy who likes to pause for special Kodak moments in Kenan stadium being hired to run the place. Or for the matter, him accepting the job, despite what he says now.
Now lets get back to pleasant thoughts of trampling South Carolina this weekend.
