Kendric Williams' Season Done; Davis Reinstates Arnold

Coincidence? I think not.

Kendric Williams was a former walk-on who earned a scholarship and a starting job in the Tar Heel secondary. Williams tore an ACL against Virginia Tech and will have surgery to repair the injury thus ending his season. His loss is tough on a young team considering he was a senior and heaven knows we need all the experience we muster out there.

Of course it is not surprising given the loss of Williams that Butch Davis decided to lift the rather cryptic suspension of everyone's favorite nickname(and I don't mean that in a good way) on the UNC team, backup safety Cooter Arnold. Davis had suspended Arnold indefinitely to start the season for an unspecified violation of team rules. I could speculate as to what Arnold did to get suspended but I would not want to be one of those bloggers than perpetrate rumors causing ESPN to misreport something.

At any rate I think it is safe to assume Davis wanted to at least add another body back to the secondary since having just lost a key player or he wants to return Arnold to his old position in the backfield and really confuse everyone.
