At the end of the first week of the season, there are a suprising number of UNC alumni on winless NBA squads. With that in mind, and before by curiousity of early-season pro basketball returns to its default level of complete disinterest, some facts:
- Brendan Haywood, he of the definitely not returning to the Wizards last May, put up 10 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks on Dwight Howard.
- Brandan Wright has yet to miss a shot for the Warriors. And hey, last night he even got to wear a uniform.
- Rashad McCants is leading the Timberwolves in scoring after one game, and on a leaderless team looks to be stepping up.
- And unexpectedly, the Charlotte Bobcats aren't a winless NBA team. They won their first season opener ever behind Raymond Felton's 26 points and 12 assists.
Tragically, late in that Charlotte game, Raymond Felton was eaten by Jeff McGinnis.
