They're not my first choice of another ACC team to root for, but the Cavaliers put together a great effort in knocking of the Blue Devils tonight. They held Duke scoreless from the field for the last eight minutes of the game, despite both Singletary and Reynolds (42 combined points) fighting cramps - especially Reynolds, who went to the bench three times because of them - and being defensively undersized against McRoberts for most of the overtime after Jason Cain fouled out. A truly great win for UVa.
I underestimated the Cavaliers a bit before the season started, though not as badly as a lot of others, and it's good to see them coming into their own. Especially since UNC already beat them in their one meeting for the regular season.
