I just got word that Jim Hudock passed away this weekend. Hudock was the captain of Dean Smith's first UNC team, and was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 1962, which he passed up pro basketball for dental school. I had the fortune to be introduced to him once. He was the nicest guy you could hope to meet. My condolences to his family and friends.
