UNC is the third overall seed. The other seven teams on their side of the bracket are:
-
East Carolina (39-21)
-
Western Carolina (40-18)
-
Jacksonville (34-26)
- South Carolina (42-18)
- North Carolina State (37-21)
- Charlotte (47-10)
- Wofford (30-31)
The Heels have to outlast the first three teams in double elimination in Chapel Hill, then beat the winner of the remaining four in a best-of-three to make it Omaha. I'll have a closer look at the teams later this week, but UNC is 7-1 against the regional field, beating ECU twice and Charlotte once, and taking N.C. State three games to one over the course of the ACC season.
