This time I can safely say it will not be like that mainly because I hope VT has more pride than to get rolled like that again. You also have to figure on teams playing differently in the ACC Tournament usually for the better. The challenge for the UNC players is not to take the Hokies lightly. While it would appear UNC enjoys every advantage going against the Hokies, you have to hope UNC approaches the game like they do not and bring the kind of intensity you need to give you an edge.
UNC can expect another physical game though VT is striking me as a less physical team than FSU unless they are playing Duke. Still VT has great athletes in the middle to bother the Tar Heel interior players. Since the guard play for VT is so young, UNC should take advantage of what happens on the perimeter. Given that Ty Lawson will not see serious pressure from VT this game could serves as an excellent test for him to get closer to the midseason form we saw versus Miami and BC. And as always, some good outside shooting to go along with what I hope is normal production on the floor and from the line out of Tyler Hansbrough.
There is an opportunity to get an easier game in this one while the Duke-Clemson game is a grinder handing UNC an advantage in terms of being more rested if they can blow VT out and head to the title game.
