It began with a small blog on Blogger, moved to Wordpress where it saw tremendous growth over the course of two years and now in basically it's third incarnation, Tar Heel Fan is live on it's own independent web host and it's own URL: http://www.tarheelfanblog.com.
The most immediate and prominent change you will notice is the need for all commenters to register and login to leave comments. Here are the steps:
1. Go here to register.
2. On the registration you enter a username and email address. The email address must be valid since you will receive you first password via email.
3. Once you receive your password, go here to login.
4. Once you login, you will be take to your profile page which allows you to do many thing such as set your password, change the display name that appears in your comment and other options as well.
5. Now you should be able to leave a comment which will require approval from me before it appears.
Please Note: I am not in front of my computer every minute so approvals might take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours so be patient in this respect, I will get to it when I can.
The other noticeable change besides the general look and feel of the site is a new header designed by commenter DeanForever. Thanks to him for designing this one and also a couple of others I can use depending on the season.
Obviously the first few days there stand to be glitches and questions. Nearly 10 years in IT have taught me that there are always glitches and questions. Feel free to ask away, via email, I will do my best to address any issues that arise.
Thanks for your support of the site.
