UNC-Evansville: Game Thread

Nine points from Tyler Hansbrough becoming UNC's all-time leading scorer. Comments if you have them on witnessing history.

7:15 PM: Hansbrough has tied the record at 2290 points and Roy pulls him from the game for his normal rest.

7:27 PM: Hansbrough still needs one but it looks like the rest of the offense is loosening up a bit and not worrying so much.

7:29 PM: WITH THAT PATENTED FUNKY HOOK SHOT TYLER HANSBROUGH BECOMES THE ALL TIME LEADING SCORER IN NORTH CAROLINA HISTORY PASSING PHIL FORD.

Hansbrough threw his hands up as he went down the court.  The game was stopped and Hansbrough shook hands with Ford and received the game ball.

7:32 PM: Hansbrough playing with a little too much emotion misses a dunk that is was clear he was trying to rip the rim down on.  Roy pulls him out and hopefully the Heels can settled down now they are up eight.

7:38 PM: I don't care for the officiating and I am really starting to dislike Evansville in general.

7:48 PM: Halftime.  Heels leading by 18.  Roy seems to think the Heels played badly on the defensive end.  Far be it for me to disagree because I think Evansville was bothered by the pressue.  The offense was out of sync but now the all-time record business is done hopefully we will get full throttle in the 2nd half.

8:13 PM: Heels ran it out to a 25 point lead and Evansville ran of six straight leading Roy to call timeout so he could rip the team a new one.  Heels are still up 19 which is still a huge lead despite Terry Gannon and Len Elmore's belief that Evansville is somehow still in the game.

8:29 PM: I see Roy decided to go Blue-White which include Justin Watts being on the floor.  Now the starters are back and we will see if they can rip off a run.

8:32 PM: Deon Thompson stands flat footed, takes the ball from the Evansville player, passes it to Lawson who scores 2.5 seconds later.  Nice.

8:34 PM: Tyler Hansbrough with 2300 career points.

8:42 PM: Graves with the dunk and the three....but them commits his fourth foul.

8:43 PM: Talk about irony of ironies.  Hansbrough, who never fouls out, is playing with four fouls on the night he breaks the all-time scoring record.

8:48 PM: Don't bring that stuff in Ed's house!

8:55 PM: The Evansville coach played on the 1984 Indiana team?  I knew there was something inherently evil about this Evansville team.  That explains everything.

8:59 PM: Heels end up with the 91-73 win as Tyler Hansbrough becomes the all-time leading scorer at UNC.
