Goodbye, Duke

Once again, it turns out having only one legitimate big man is a bit of a liability, especially when that player sits for 13 minutes because of foul trouble. The Blue Devils continue a developing tradition of postseason failure, being outrebounded 45 to 19. Hell Duke's entire starting five was almost outrebounded by the Mountaineers' backup, 6'2" point guard.

Don't blame the Blue Devils' three-point shooting, however. While 5 for 22 isn't something to brag about, the true killer was the free throw percentage - Duke missed quite a few front ends of one-and-ones while battling West Virginia from the line. Duke's free throw shooting has dropped off significanty since Redick graduated, and it's hurt them down the stretch.
