The two soccer teams did most of heavy lifting here with the women winning another national title and the men finishing second. UNC is presently the highest ranked ACC team as well with Wake Forest 5th, Maryland 9th, Virginia 11th, FSU 15th, Duke 17th. With the mens' and womens' basketball teams doing well plus another great season of baseball expected UNC will likely end the 2008-09 school year with another high finish in the Director's Cup.
Congratulations to the fall sports teams on their accomplishments and to AD Dick Baddour for ensuring the continued overall success of the entire athletic program at UNC.
