Three huge games this evening, all televised for those of us in North Carolina.
UVa at Clemson, 7 PM, FSN
FSU at Duke, 8 PM, Raycom
Wake Forest at Maryland, 9 PM FSN
This has huge implications for UNC's regular season title hopes. If FSU and Maryland can both win it means UNC is in great shape. Then a win over Virginia Tech would clinch the ACC outright. An FSU win and Wake Forest loss also puts the Seminoles in 3rd place and could serve as insurance in the tiebreaker should things at Blacksburg and at home versus Duke not go well. Of course losing two straight and ending up 11-5 and 25-5 overall would create all sorts of issues for the Heels in terms of NCAA seeding to the point winning the ACC regular season would be an afterthought. That being the case, the simplest solution for UNC is to just win baby and Duke losing is for entertainment value only.
