  • UNC is very good in the Sweet Sixteen but hardly ever dominates an opponent.  The win over Washington State in 2008 marked only the 2nd time UNC collected a win of 20 points or more and just fourth double digit win in the Sweet Sixteen.
  • The Heels have won eight straight Sweet Sixteen games.
  • As either a #1 or #2 seed UNC is 14-1 overall including a 9-1 mark as a #1 seed. Versus #4 seeds the Heels are 5-2 which includes the loss to Indiana in 1984 and Arkansas in 1990 when the Heels were a #8 seed. As a #1 seed UNC is 4-0 versus the #4 seed.
  • On average UNC either wins by nine or loses by 10.
