Heels Down Dartmouth

New, comments

UNC opened the NCAA baseball regional with a 5-2 win over Ivy League champion Dartmouth. Dustin Ackley(who else) was 3-5 with two RBIs. Matt Harvey started for UNC and got the win after 6.1 IP and only two earned runs. Starting Harvey was a gamble for Mike Fox considering the he is clearly the worst pitcher on the staff. UNC got the win and now Fox has both Adam Warren and Alex White available going forward.

The Heels now face Coastal Carolina who beat Kansas earlier in the day. The winner's bracket game, set for 5 PM on Saturday, will be a rematch of the 2008 Super Regional UNC won 2-0 to advance to the College World Series.
